We are so excited to announce that we have been chosen as a Finalist for Best Handbag Overall in Style & Design in the Independent Handbag Designer Awards!
Now in its 10th year, the IHDA is run by Handbag Designer 101, founded by Emily Blumenthal first, as a hub for independent bag designers, and now, as the go-to destination for customers looking to buy a unique handbag. The winners of each category have the opportunity to be featured in InStyle Magazine!
There is some stiff competition, but I hope you’ll agree that our new Madeleine Cross Body is up for the challenge. The design of this bag was centred around our signature double-sided Italian leather and how to show the inside colour while staying true to our design language.
After many crossed out sketches, the concept finally came to me while I was in the shower! I quickly grabbed my sketchbook and starting work on what would become the final bag you see today. This bag is still rooted in our signature minimalist construction and Italian craftsmanship to lend a touch of luxury to your everyday outfit.
As part of the selection process, I put together a video about the start of the brand, the inspiration for our collections and the awards on the Independent Handbag Designer Awards website. It was a new experience being in front of the camera, but it was a lot of fun working on this video.
